The Nighthawks typically wear blue and gold jerseys, but they went with green and white ones in tribute to Sandy Hook’s school colors, and on the back of everyone’s jersey were the words, “Stay Strong.”
"It was just kind of overwhelming," Newtown player Dan Scarangella told the newspaper of the evening. "I've never seen so many people at a game. We played for (Sandy Hook) tonight. It was good to distract them from everything that happened."
