The former Oklahoma star “would be shocked” if the Cardinals didn’t select him No. 1 overall, according to a report from ESPN, which cites an unidentified league source. Murray took home the Heisman Trophy last season after he threw for 4,361 yards and tallied 54 total scores. Oklahoma finished with a 12-2 record and advanced to the College Football Playoff semifinal, where it fell to Alabama. Murray has been linked to the Cardinals for months and some have said it’s a near lock he will end up with the team....
The anticipation about where he would kick in the the NFL ended at the start of the sixth round. Buffalo, which attempted the sixth-fewest punts in 2021, took him 180th overall with the first pick of the round Saturday. Araiza wasn’t the first punter drafted in 2022 despite his major following, however; he was the third off the board. Penn State’s Jordan Stout was selected in the fourth round (130th overall) by the Ravens, and Georgia’s Jake Camarda was taken by the Buccaneers three picks later....

Sporting News built its first Top 50 Big Board for next season, and that list is heavy on quarterbacks and receivers. A total of six quarterbacks and seven receivers cracked the top 50, a nod to the importance of those two positions on the last two national championship teams at Alabama and LSU. North Carolina quarterback Sam Howell is the top player on the board for now, but the competition for that top QB spot will be more competitive now that Clemson’s Trevor Lawrence is in the pro game....
Michigan’s Aidan Hutchinson is still holding down the No. 1 spot as the best, most relentless sack artist, but he’s quickly found a lot of top-flight company early in the first round. There are fewer scheme- and alignment-dependent and a lot of energetic pass rushers with a variety of moves, with the level of refinement necessary being the biggest separator from the greatest to the still very good. Coastal Carolina moved up to No. 12 in this week’s Newsweek Top 20, and BYU slipped to No. 15. Coastal Carolina trails only Cincinnati for the best-ranked team in the Group of Five conferences. The top team from the Group of Five gets an invitation to play in one of the New Year’s Six bowl games. Cincinnati travels to play a tough Tulsa squad this weekend. The top six teams won again on Saturday, all of them looked very impressive and all of them did it on the road except Notre Dame....
On Thursday, White House lawyers filed a brief with the Supreme Court arguing that the University of Michigan’s affirmative action policies are unconstitutional and unfair. More than two-thirds of Americans polled said they don’t think colleges and universities should give preference in admissions based on race or ethnicity. They also felt strongly that preferential treatment should be denied to children of alumni, athletes and even musicians and other artists. However, 65 percent would approve of affirmative action based on income, giving preference for college admissions to applicants from low-income families, regardless of their race or ethnic background....

This new DLC, titled Sazh: Heads or Tails?, allows gamers to play through a side story staring none other than Sazh, the dual wielding, chocobo-hiding comic relief of this particular leg of the series. The side story would see Sazh making his way through a parallel story to the main events of Final Fantasy 13-2, only to be “team joinable” after completing the DLC. As well as unlocking Sazh for your party, the Heads or Tails DLC will also put new cards in the Serendipity casino for those interested....

In the developer’s weekly blog, Bungie says that that update should arrive mid-February. The exact date of the update is unknown because as Bungie explained in its blog, getting an update out requires many steps from development to certification, and if any hurdles arise on the way, it could delay the update hitting its target. If Bungie’s track history of updates is any indication, fans can probably expect the update, labeled Hot Fix 2....
