Neymar’s split from Barca was ugly – the club criticising PSG’s conduct and disputing the player’s loyalty bonus. But, according to media reports, that has not stopped Neymar and Barca working behind the scenes in recent weeks in order to facilitate a move. Neymar’s position at PSG looks untenable after the club’s ultras sang offensive chants about him during their Ligue 1 opener, while Barca are said to have offered multiple players and a transfer fee to secure his return....

He got his first taste of first team football last season when Arsenal were going through a slump and Wenger needed to change something around. A delegation of the Nigerian Football Federation, led by its president, Pinnick visited the Wolverhampton Wanderers’ shot-stopper at the Christie Clinic on Monday. Nine months ago, the 31-year-old was diagnosed with acute leukemia and it has kept him out of the game, including a huge part of the country’s successful qualification to the 2018 World Cup in Russia. During the visit in Manchester, Pinnick delivered the country’s goodswill message and extended an invite to the former Leicester City and Middlesborough man - who is still undergoing chemotherapy - to their tie against the Three Lions....

Tom Brady’s big night Brady’s historic night was fueled by standout games by his receivers and tight end, including Danny Amendola, Chris Hogan, and Rob Gronkowski, who each had more yards than Philadelphia’s leading receiver, Corey Clement. Amendola reeled in 8 catches for 152 yards, Hogan snatched 6 catches for 128 yards, and Gronkowski brought in a team-high 9 catches for 116 yards. The Patriots kept needing to air it out because Eagles quarterback Nick Foles had a great game of his own, throwing for 373 yards and 3 touchdowns....
